Question 1

Is there a minimum income requirement to get approved?

Accepted Answer

There is no fixed minimum income requirement. What matters is that you have a steady, verifiable source of income that supports your ability to make payments. Whether you're paid hourly, salary, self-employed, or receive other regular income, we encourage you to apply and let us find a solution that fits your budget.

Question 2

Do I need a valid driver's license?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a valid driver's license is required. Please bring it with you to the dealership, along with your 3 most recent pay stubs or other proof of income, your most recent phone or utility bill as proof of residence, your down payment, contact information for 3-5 personal references and your trade title if you have a trade-in (yes, we take trade-ins!).

Question 3

How long do I need to be employed to qualify for financing?

Accepted Answer

Whether or not you qualify for financing depends on your unique situation. Length of employment isn't the only thing we look at. It certainly helps to be at your job for a longer period of time, but it's not necessarily required.

Question 4

How much is the down payment?

Accepted Answer

The down payment depends on the vehicle you choose and the terms of your approval. While many competitors require large down payments, Byrider is often able to get customers driving with much lower amounts, sometimes even as low as $0 down.

Question 5

Do you still have the make/model of vehicle I saw online?

Accepted Answer

If the vehicle is online, there's a good chance that we still have it in stock. We do sell cars quickly and add new cars to our inventory daily. Please contact the store directly or visit one of our Ohio dealerships for more information.

Question 6

How can I find out what specific features a listed vehicle has?

Accepted Answer

If you see a vehicle you love online, chances are it's still available, but don't wait too long! Byrider moves inventory fast and adds new vehicles daily. With 8 local stores, we can often transfer the vehicle you want to the location most convenient for you once you're approved. Contact us or stop by to confirm availability.

Question 7

What is the minimum credit score needed to qualify for financing?

Accepted Answer

We look at more than just your credit score when deciding whether or not to approve our customers for an auto loan. We consider things like your income, your budget and your history of on-time payments rather than just looking at your score alone. Because of that, there is no specific minimum credit score needed to qualify for financing from us.

Question 8

Do you take trade-ins?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we take trade-ins! No matter the condition of the vehicle, we will take it as a trade-in. Ask about our monthly trade-in promotions.

Question 9

Can I add a co-signer to my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Of course! We will need both parties present at the time of purchasing the vehicle. Please make sure both parties bring their 3 most recent pay stubs or other proof of income, their most recent phone or utility bill as proof of residence, the down payment and contact information for 3-5 personal references.

Question 10

Can I get approved even with bad credit, no credit, or a past bankruptcy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At Byrider, we look at more than just your credit score. We evaluate your full financial picture, including income, stability and employment, to find a financing solution that works for your situation. Bad credit or a fresh start won't automatically disqualify you.

Question 11

How do I apply and how long does it take?

Accepted Answer

You can start your application online in minutes or visit any Byrider location in person. Many customers receive a financing decision the same day.

Question 12

How are Byrider vehicles inspected before they're put up for sale?

Accepted Answer

Every vehicle on our lot goes through a rigorous multi-point inspection process before it's offered for sale. Byrider goes further than most Buy Here Pay Here dealerships to ensure they provide a quality vehicle through their thorough inspection process.

Question 13

What warranty or service protection comes with my purchase?

Accepted Answer

Most vehicles come with up to a 3 Year/36,000 Mile Service Agreement, plus exclusive Byrider service, 0% interest mechanical loans and $20 oil changes. You're covered well beyond the day you drive off the lot.

Question 14

Will making payments at Byrider help me build or rebuild my credit?

Accepted Answer

Byrider reports your payments to the major credit bureaus. Consistent, on-time payments can help you establish or strengthen your credit profile over time, something not all buy here pay here dealers offer.

Question 15

How is Byrider's financing different from a bank or traditional dealership?

Accepted Answer

Byrider finances vehicles in-house through CNAC, our own finance company. That means no third-party bank to reject your application. Decisions are made locally, based on your individual circumstances, not just a number on a credit report.
