Reconditioning Process
We fix it before you ever drive it.
Inspection tells us what a vehicle needs. Reconditioning is where we actually do the work, so the car you buy is ready for the road, not a project.
Inspect
A 100+ point inspection flags everything that needs attention.
Repair
Certified technicians fix or replace anything below our standards.
Road test
We verify the repairs in real driving conditions.
Detail
Cleaned inside and out, then a final quality sign-off.
Protect
Backed by a service agreement and in-house service after the sale.
The work
What we recondition on every vehicle.
Brakes
Pads, rotors and brake fluid are measured against our standards and replaced when they fall short, not when they fail.
Tires & alignment
Worn or mismatched tires are replaced and wheels are balanced so the car tracks straight and rides smoothly.
Fluids & filters
Oil and filter change, plus coolant, transmission, power-steering and washer fluids topped off or flushed as needed.
Battery & electrical
Battery load-tested, charging system checked and lights, wipers, windows and locks confirmed working.
Belts, hoses & mechanical
Cracked belts, leaking hoses and worn suspension or steering parts are repaired or replaced before sale.
Detail & appearance
Full interior and exterior detail, vacuum, shampoo, wash and polish, so it looks as good as it runs.

Reconditioning questions, answered.
What does vehicle reconditioning mean?
Reconditioning is the work done after inspection to bring a used vehicle up to our standards, repairing or replacing brakes, tires, fluids, belts, batteries and other components, then detailing the vehicle before it's offered for sale.
Is every Byrider vehicle reconditioned?
Yes. Every vehicle on our lots goes through inspection and reconditioning at our Ohio locations before it's available to customers.
How is this different from a typical used car lot?
Many lots sell vehicles as-is. We repair what our inspection finds, road test the result and back the vehicle with a limited service agreement, up to 3 Year / 36,000 Mile on most vehicles.
Who services my vehicle after I buy it?
Our in-house service departments at all 8 Ohio locations, staffed by the same team that reconditions our vehicles.
Reconditioned. Road tested. Ready.
